MEET MELISSA

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be an interior designer. I was constantly rearranging my room and doing crazy things like turning bookcases on their side—just to make things different. I attended design school in both Dallas and Nashville. After working for many years in the industry, I opened up my own interior design business. Working for myself allowed me to really explore my own creativity versus identifying with another company's vision. This was the start of my truly blossoming as a designer. I was drawn to the eclectic and anything that just felt unique—yet I still wanted a refined, upscale result. Over the years, I have stuck to and expanded on this philosophy. This is actually how I became an artist. I found myself drawn to original, high-end art. I didn’t want to have the same print in my house that my neighbors had. I started dabbling in making paintings for myself, and eventually I began adding them to my client’s homes. This way I was able to customize each piece for the room that I was designing.

Now, all these years later, I am not only able to offer this service for my clients, but also for other interior designers across the country. I absolutely love my job with my entire soul. That passion is evident in each and every project I create. I don’t just shop for items that I think my client will like, I search high and low for unique items that will fit the space as well as customizing many pieces for the project.

When I’m not designing a room or creating a piece of art, you can find me enjoying time with my beautiful family.
